About Sixth Edition
The Team
We are three co-founders, Ines, Suraj and Aurelius coming from from Austria, India and Germany. A unique combination of creative, free-spirited minds, fashion lovers and product designers, with an unrelenting passion for craftsmanship in leather to create the finest accessories, bags and rucksacks.
Having worked and lived all around the world, we truly appreciate a multi-cultural mindset and we have learned through our international work, extensive travel and boundless curiosity that openness to different cultures, traditions and people can be one of the most rewarding aspects in our lives.
That's why the idea for Sixth Edition was born. We partner with like-minded artisans, craftsmen and small family businesses from around the world to elevate the use of artisanal craft and traditional techniques often found deeply embedded in local culture and passed along through generations, in order to bring truly outstanding leather pieces and ideas to life.

Our design philosophy is built around an affinity to heritage craft traditions coupled with modern aesthetics.
Central to our belief is that fashion and style play a defining role in enhancing self-confidence and sense of individuality in today´s world. Therefore, our ambition is that the pieces we create together with our artisanal partners are a perfect blend between tried and tested traditional techniques, created by the most skillful hands in their craft while achieving the lifestyle demands of our time.

Our artisan partnerships
Each piece is handmade, once born sharing the culture, the creative energy and handcrafted work of our international artisan community. We carefully select individuals or small family-run ateliers who have their own unique and traditional techniques handed down from generation to generation.
It is their deep knowledge and skill in tanning, dyeing and processing of leather, manufacturing canvas or other natural fabrics, which are rooted in traditions often going back thousands of years take our pieces outstanding in quality and design.
Our global connections have grown over decades through personally connecting with these artisans in each region. Collaborating with these workshops, our products are carefully handcrafted by highly skilled artisans who are integral to the character and story that underpins each piece.
